Inspired to make stuff happen

Before corporate marketers (including me) took over and commercialized the social web, there was Ze Frank – my creative Internet superhero.

If you need to get up to speed on all things Ze Frank, watch this TED Talk. If you do hit play, you will laugh and cry in the next 18 minutes.

So now that we are in agreement about Ze Frank, you'll be equally excited to learn that Ze has brough back The Show. Along with 3,899 other backers, I donated a little to make this happen. Here's the first episode (warning: language).

This hits home and inspires me. I have so many unfinished ideas that I need to make happen. I'll bet you do too.

Elizabeth Gilbert's talk must be watched and shared

I just spent 20 minutes watching this wonderful talk on Brent Dixon's blog and was compelled to embed it here in hopes that more people might see it as well.

If you are a neurotic, creative person like me who fears your best work may be behind you, this just might help. I sure love brilliant presentations.

Off topic: Nothing to do with credit unions, everything to do with awesomeness

I have seen this video referenced on a number of blogs over the past week and finally decided to watch it. It is an 18-minute presentation by brain researcher Jill Bolte Taylor at the 2008 TED Conference. It is quite likely the most compelling conference presentation you will ever see. There is not one bullet point on a PowerPoint slide. It is truly inspiring and very emotional.
